Other Blackhawk Machines
The Blackhawks adventures often happened at sea and for these they often used the Hawksub. It appeared on a number of covers, including issue No. 159. CLICK HERE to see Terry Semenoff's model of the Hawksub.
Sometimes instead of the Hawksub, the Blackhawks used one-man minisubs. They were featured on the cover of issue No. 139. A later version of the Hawksub appeared in issue No. 243. For excursions on land, the Blackhawks frequently used the Safari Mobile. These pictures are from issue No. 124. The color scheme of the Safari Mobile varied considerably. Here it's green, sometimes it was gray, and often it sported a garish yellow and red scheme, as shown on the cover of issue No. 162. The Blackhawks had a number of adventures in space. This rocket, looking a lot like a Redstone in Blackhawk livery, took them all the way to Venus, in issue No. 129.
